Who Can Access the API

Our Open Banking API is available to regulated Third-Party Providers (TPPs) under the PSD2 framework.

You are eligible to access the API if your organisation is authorised as:

  • Payment Initiation Service Provider (PISP)

  • Account Information Service Provider (AISP).

  • Payment Instrument Issuer Service Provider (PIISP)

To access the API in a production environment, your application must be registered with a valid Open Banking certificate (such as an OBIE certificate in the UK).

Open Banking API Access and Support

Regulated TPPs can connect to Maayan’ Open Banking API to provide secure, consent-based data access and other PSD2-regulated services to their customers.

Our API supports:

  • Secure data aggregation

  • Strong customer authentication (SCA)

  • Consent management

  • PSD2-compliant access to account data and payment services

API documentation is available to help you integrate efficiently and meet regulatory requirements.

Sandbox Environment

The Sandbox is a secure, isolated testing environment using non-production data. It allows developers to safely test authentication, consent flows, API requests, and responses before moving to production.

What You Can Do in the Sandbox

Test API connectivity and authentication flows

Simulate data aggregation and consent-based access

Validate request and response structures

Prepare your application for production readiness

TPP Quick Start Guide

Get started in just a few simple steps. This quick guide will walk you through the setup from certification to integration.

1. Obtain a Certificate

Get OBIE certificates from Open Banking Directory (UK). This certificate contains your TPP
authorization and roles (AISP/PISP/PIISP).

2. Register with Salt Edge

Register your TPP application via Salt Edge API. Submit your software statement and
redirect URIs. Salt Edge reviews and sends credentials via email.

3. Upload Certificate

Upload your OBIE certificates to Salt Edge. Confirmation sent via email after approval.

4. Start Integration

After approval you receive Client ID and can start API integration.
All requests require:

  • Request signing with your certificate
